We’re not sure what impresses us more about Kirbi:
1) Her background as an operations change agent at the national supermarket chain, ALDI.
2) Her talent for axe-throwing, ziplining, mud-running, and — during quiet, more reflective moments — acoustic guitar-playing.
The executive-level program and project manager has more than a decade of experience in grocery and retail management. During that time, she implemented numerous new initiatives, including SKU expansion and tracking.
Frankly, autumn would be incomplete for tens of thousands of Americans were it not for the increased shelf space she provided to cranberry-pumpkin spice applesauce, among many other products.
If you’re thinking “strategic,” “KPI-driven,” and “integrates tactics well both within an organization and with external stakeholders,” you’re spot-on. But that’s only half of her skill set: She’s a really cool person who’s fun to be around and brings serious interpersonal and communications skills to the (negotiating) table.
OK, enough business already. The latest addition to the Scotwork North America team knows her way around an axe! That is, when she’s not ziplining, mud-running, and whatever else it is that an adventurous spirit leads people to do when they’re not negotiating winning deals.
If you’re thinking “axe-thrower,” “scary,” or “I’m actually concerned,” we wouldn’t blame you. But that’s only half of her downtime skill set. About those quiet, reflective moments: that’s the time when Kirbi puts down one axe and picks up another, her acoustic guitar, and sings.
Just ask her partner, Brandon, or their 12-year-old dog, Ace, who curls up at her feet when he hears that voice. They live in Oak Park, Illinois, and have a real fondness for those quiet moments . . . which, no doubt, give Kirbi ample time to plan her next adventure.
