Miranda Rohrbough has a way with combining elements to achieve the results she’s after. It’s a skill she’s sharpened since attending Michigan’s Grand Valley State University, where she minored in, yes, chemistry.
Miranda grew so adept at understanding the elements, she regularly tutored pre-med students. Fortunately for us, her work hasn’t been confined to a lab.
Scotwork’s Vice President of Sales has spent the better part of her career helping organizations equip sales and marketing teams with the skills they need to land and expand new clients, not to mention developing coaching strategies to upskill their executives. In other words, imbuing people with skills to achieve desired results.
After years of applying her talents at companies such as Challenger and EZRA, what made her turn to negotiation consulting? “Often, when I was working with sales teams, I felt like I couldn’t tackle their individual problems,” she says. “They would usually have struggles with things like confidence, asking questions, and being in the moment. Scotwork’s approach to negotiation training helps slow down the mind, allowing people to truly listen and reiterate the value of what their organization does. We aren’t just negotiating at the end of the process, but throughout every client interaction. It impacts how we show up and how effective we are at solving client issues.”
At the end of the day, Miranda’s experimental spirit is who she is, rooted in a skill set that extends well beyond the professional to a deeply personal place: the kitchen. It’s there that she and her partner, Chandler, spend time cooking together, entertaining large get-togethers of friends and family. “Using a scientific approach helps me tailor the experience I deliver, whether its cooking for picky eaters or working to understand a client's needs. It lets me adjust my approach to match the circumstance, which helps me demonstrate how much I care about everyone I interact with.”
